Who is a candidate?

• Large, heavy breasts, which may be the cause of back, shoulder, neck pain, poor posture, bra-strap indentations, and chafing or frequent rashes underneath the breasts.
• If you have had a breast enlargement but wish your breasts to be either larger or smaller.

Procedure Description

Revision of breast augmentation usually involves releasing or excising the capsule around your current implant(s) and recreating an ideal pocket or space for the implant(s) to rest. The procedure is usually performed through your old incision site(s). The old scar is excised and a new one created in the same location. The old implant is usually replaced. The procedure can be performed under sedation and local or under general anesthesia.

Other Options

Additional procedure that may enhance the result: Mastopexy (breast lift) – this is recommended for patients with a greater degree of breast sagging (ptosis) in addition to being hard or uneven in shape or size.
